The color palette captures nature's perfect balance. Rich brick reds, warm terracotta, and soft coral tones from madder root mingle with the earthy tans, deep woodland browns, and quiet olives of harvested oak leaves. Bright, sunny yellows and buttery cream accents from spring daffodil blossoms bring a cheerful light to the entire composition. Through her tapestries, Debbie aims to connect the viewer with their surrounding world. Living in Cornwall, she is constantly surrounded by seascapes and coastlines, which she regularly walks to sketch or photograph.

Her unique process involves her love of defining the foreground, centre, and background of a scene. She builds the image using the inherent grid and lines of the weaving process, and the beach in her work is often depicted as waves of valleys and shallow pools, which reflect the light, the sea, and the foliage.

This approach results in visually exciting, fresh, and striking textiles that use traditional techniques with a contemporary feel.
